Non-metro minorities data reflect poverty increases non-metro blacks/African Americans had the highest incidence of poverty in 2017 (32.0 percent) non-metro whites in 2017 was less than half as much (14.2 percent) and noteworthy is the high poverty faster increase rate for hispanics at 24.5%,than other racial/ethnic groups over the last several decades.
