#Retailprices for one-pound quantities of all #ingredients were higher in #May2022 compared with #May2021. #GroundBeef prices increased 16.9% and accounted for 17 cents of the increase between 2021 and 2022. #CheddarCheese and #bread costs each rose about 1 cent per burger from 2021 to 2022. #IcebergLettuce prices rose the most, by 23.3%, but the relatively small proportion it contributes to the total cost of a burger means it added just 2 cents to the total.
