The number of #people affected by #hunger#globally#increased in #2021, an increase of about 46 million since #2020 and 150 million since the outbreak of the #COVID-19 #pandemic.
Hunger affected 278 million people in #Africa, 425 million in #Asia and 56.5 million in #LatinAmerica and the #Caribbean – 20.2%, 9.1% and 8.6% of the population, respectively.
