U.S. per-capita availability of fresh avocados has jumped from 4 pounds in 2010 to 9.22 pounds in 2022, according to the USDA. U.S. volume of all avocados (imports and U.S. Production) have grown more than 66% in 10 years. Mexico accounted for 82.2% of all avocado's volume in 2023, with the balance supplied by California, Peru, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Florida. In the first semester of 2024 Colombia growing 209%.
