My Grapes Impacted by Weather or Inflation?

Your today’s grapes come from different parts of the world and as Chile and South Africa finished their season, Mexico starts sending fresh grapes to USA and other markets. Mexico sent 133 million pounds of grapes May 1-May 31th., 2022 vs. 66 million pounds in 2023, as cold weather impacted Caborca region, Sonora, Mexico November 2022 to March 2023.

Grapes did not have normal growth on the vine delaying ability to send them to our tables! But do not worry, in few weeks you will have plenty as the vine “wakes up” and will send record volumes as similar situation was experienced in 2019 with a late harvest start which resulted in a record season in terms of volumes.
