U.S. retail per-capita availability of pineapples has jumped from 5.4 pounds in 2010 to 7.3 pounds in 2022, according to the USDA.
U.S. imports of all pineapples have grown more than 9% in 10 years. CostaRica accounted for 87% of all pineappleās imports in 2023, with the balance supplied by Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Panama and other countries.
