The cultivation of Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L) is optimally produced in loose, deep, sandy soils with a good content of organic matter. It is labor intensive and depending on the method of cultivation the color can vary between green or White, depending on the technology used. The production process has 3 phases: implantation, production of turions and vegetative stoppage, once these stages occur during the first 3 years, it is recommended to harvest when the turions reach the ideal size and thickness for consumption.
