Over the last twelve months, 16 different regions shipped strawberries to the United States market.
This includes the fruit produced domestically, in nearby countries such as Mexico, to distant regions such as South Korea, the Netherlands, France and Spain. Despite the diversity of shipping locations, only 4 large regions (Mexico, California South, California Central & Florida) supply 99% of the total volume for the United States.
The rest of the regions supply specialty varieties, and their volumes are relatively small due to the large size of the market.
