450 Million People Directly Depend on Supply Chains
Global supply chains are crucial for trade and jobs, employing 450 million people, including 190 million women. Therefore, companies must adopt practices under environmental standards to prevent and mitigate adverse environmental impacts, aligning their strategies with the 1.5 °C global warming limit of the Paris Agreement. To achieve this, optimizing sustainable supply chains and moving towards a circular economy to conserve resources is essential.
