Flower sterility in female papaya plants occurs when temperatures exceed 35°C or fall below 17°C. These extreme conditions not only affect the fertility of the flowers, but also reduce the plants' ability to carry out photosynthesis, absorb CO2 and regulate the entry of oxygen, compromising their development and productivity.
