The Avocado from Mexico; Volumes and Best Buying Times

Mexico is the undisputed leader in the world production and export of avocados, reaching 2,468.49 million dollars in exports in 2023 (Graph 1). The main destination for this Mexican product is the United States.

Historically, peaks in Mexican avocado export volumes occur in January and June. Michoacán is the country's main producing state (Graph 2).
