U.S. per-capita availability of almonds has jumped from 0.83 pounds in 2000 to 2.14 pounds in 2023, according to the USDA.
2024 U.S. imported almonds (fresh & dried) were led by Canada and Spain, accounting for 34.17% and 34.02% of total imports, respectively. Other notable sources included Thailand and Italy.
