USA World’s Largest Producer of Pistachios also Imports - Part II

U.S. per-capita availability of pistachios has jumped from 0.21 pounds in 2000 to 0.74 pounds in 2023, according to the USDA.

2024 U.S. imported pistachios (fresh & dried) were led by Turkey and Italy, accounting for 35.32% and 30.62% of total imports, respectively. Other notable sources included Vietnam.
